Modern gentlemen of leisure.

New York, New York. We all instantly fell in love with L.A... but it still feels good to be back in New York, a city that we all been visiting so many times before. After spending all those hours inside the cars on the west coast it is a positive change to be able to walk around town for shopping and clubbing. We´re now living in our friend Kirk's apartment in Williamsburg. The view from his rooftop is stunning. Some of us have been hooking up with girlfriends and others been seeing old homeboys. Today we have spent alot of time doing last minute shopping and buying gifts for our close ones. Tonight we´re gonna hook up with Jules and Roxy for a Spank Rock show at Club Rebel.

Frank's Chop Shop has the coolest consept of the all. It's a famous barber shop and they do their own New Era fitteds. We had to buy one cause it came in a real cool box packed with their own special coffee blend and ecological transparent rolling skins. Dope.

It will be a real hustle trying to fit everything in the bags,
I guess this is what all those hours playing tetris was for...

What it do.

U.S.A., What More Can I Say?

Sushi.

Me and the rest of the crew spent the last night in L.A. at the beautiful Yamashiro restaurant. This asian cuisine is located in the hills overlooking this huge city we all come to love. The view was breathtaking and sushi couldn't have been fresher. Domo arigato. /D.

Thank you Cali!

Last night at the house, the other guys are at a bar. I finna pack my shiie and hit the sack. Svante, from Damn!, is preparing for a big interview he's doing tomorrow (he works for Swedish TV as well as being a rockstar). On behalf of The Swedish Entourage I just want to thank everybody who made it to the shows, and all the good people we met, all the people who made this possible - WESC, Coach, ourselves (DVSG feat Schumi, JUJU, DJ Dainja, Damn!, Simme & Arbetsgruppen Nimativ Form), Kirk, Andreas Pastor, Marisa, Kelly, Inverse, DeeCee and Phillip Drummond in SF, Patrick, Iriscience - and all of you people who have been reading the blog. I really hope we can make out here again for more shows, and i hope that we can make it to the east, the south, the north and the middle of this country that time. We've had a great time, and now I can't wait to get home!

Night @ The Roxy Theatre...

I had NO IDEA that this day would go by so easily. Backline was delivered in time, soundcheck went pretty OK considering our new in-house engineer friend that was about to blow up any second you hit him with another question. The line was getting longer & longer outside the Roxy. Ron Jeremy was even seen in it...

Dainja got the crowd going with his 80s classics set until Timbuktu, Chords & Damn! entered the stage with a bang and then Looptroop closed the night like LA never seen it before!

The night continued @ our crib in west hollywood with a fair amount of new friends...

Welcome To The Good Life

San Fransisco

We arrived in SF the night before the show, and checked in to a motel where men pick up men. Approprietly enough, we checked in 4 men in one double room and 5 in another - big budget style! The day after we did some sightseeing and moved to another hotel, closer to the venue. Club 6ix is located at Mission and 6th street, a real rough area we soon found out. When we got there to soundcheck around 9 pm there was a big and real ugly fight right outside the club. So we skipped soundcheck and went back to the hotel. Which we probably shouldn't have done since the sound was the worst in a looooong time... But there wasn't much to do, someone from some bureaucratic department was at the gig to make sure we didn't play louder than a transistor radio. The crowd and the promoters were great however, and we always manage to have a good time despite shitty circumstances - so we were still happy. Next day we drove back to LA (after I tricked some of the guys to try out raw vegan food at café gratitude... they didn't feel the same gratitude as I did I'm afraid), and now we're all getting ready for the grand finale at the Roxy tonight. Damn! are here, and things will be popping off something proper I think. This is Embee's and Simon's last night here, and the rest of us leave for New York on the 20th. So we're slowly reaching the end of things here, and we'll leave the place in ashes. Nah meeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaan!!!
(The pics at the bottom are from a pretty depressing gas station where we made a stop on the way home.)
